Stuck in a Regency?

So, I had a king who died, and I was forced into a regency.
All seems, fine, but right before my heir could become a ruler, he died.

Now fifty years into the future, my country is still ruled by the regency council,
and there are no nobles willing to force this 'council' to abdicate.

I'm not very happy about this at all.

I think eventually you will get a heir, or your regency council will come up. Just wait a little longer.

I had this happened in EU3, but the council would be immediately dissolved upon losing the only heir.

Now I have no heirs in line, no king alive, and the council has been in power for 50 years.
Truthfully, I'm running out of patience.

If you are playing Ironman, I have no help. I cant really think of anything.
But, if you are okay wiht using the console, pull it up and type in add_heir (your country tag)
But then again, not able to work if in Ironman.

Eh, at this point, try reporting the bug. I don't think you can reload a save, with the autosaves and all. Sorry I couldn't help.

Well I sent the bug report to one of the developers. Hopefully this gets patched soon.
