Some conquest cassus bellis will give you a large amount of admin power(in the missions tab). Maybe there's a form of government you could change to, to boost you admin gain? Haven't played as an eastern group yet.

If you have a monarch with low admin power the only other way to increase the monthly gain is a high level admin advisor. Tough luck if you don't have one available.

I'm playing as Ottomans too, I'm starved on admin points too. Then again my first idea was the religious one, which is from the admin group...
Totally worth it though imo.

what you mean exactly?
"Then again my first idea was the religious one, which is from the admin group..."

After every 3-4 admin tech levels you can choose a national idea, and as everything else these ideas are divided into Administrative, Diplomatic and Military ones. You level those ideas up by spending the respective power points (400 base per level).
The first one I picked was the "Religion" idea, for the free casus belli against other religions you get at the first level. Extra missionary and higher missionary chance at higher levels help a lot to convert all the Christian provinces too, but I really fell behind in administrative tech because of that.

But if you choose an admin idea you have to spent admin points for the ideas and as well tech progress.. also not a good alternativ

It's been working pretty well so far for me. As I said, I fell behind in admin tech, but for me that was worth it.

yeah thinks the better choice for ottomans
did you grab land mostly south or north?
Kagemin Aug 17, 2013 @ 10:28am
I'd say I mostly went north and west. I keep pushing back the Mamluks further south now and then, but I expanded a fair bit in the Balkan region and into Italy.
The +200% core costs from Hungarian Traditions are pretty crazy, so I started vassalizing and diplo-annexing stiuff in that region.

On a bit of a silly note, I have 5 missionaries now. Conquered Rome and Jerusalem and became Defender of the Faith...

you won't never get a "better rate" for admin points. the only thing you can do is dont waste it, dont tech too early, don't overextend all the time and have a better advisor! the level of your adisor determines your extra monarch points! also dont go up to stability +3, +2 is better if you are low on admin points

Why is +3 stability bad for admin point gain, can you elaborate?
Kagemin Aug 20, 2013 @ 10:11am
You're paying an additional 50% admin points to go from stability level 1 to 2, and an additional 100% to go from 2 to 3. If you need the adming points much more than the money from the higher stability I'd even suggest staying at 1.

I'm aware of the stability cost increase, I just got an impression from his post that being at +3 penalizes you somehow.
Kagemin Aug 20, 2013 @ 10:35am
Oh, no, it doesn't directly penalize you. You're just paying more and more, which you might want to avoid when you starved for admin points.

As ottomans, the diplomatic idea is nice to save some ADM due to reduced core cost. Also, you are rich, hire the best advisor avaliable.

Btw, as Ottomans the religion idea don't seems very helpful, as you get a nice increased tolerance idea that removes pretty much all of the "malus" for the provinces worshiping the wrong god (or the right god wrong).
