National Decisions
Sorry for what might be a silly question, however, when I click on the envelope with a check-mark next to one of my national decisions, it dissapears from the list. Is this by design? Can I get it back?

These fulfil automatically if I achieve all of the criteria correct?

Thanks for the help.

They do not trigger automatically. What you are doing when you are clicking the check is triggering them. Some may re-appear, it just depends on how they are coded.

It activated.

If you go to Government Tab and look in the box next to your ruler you'll find many small square pictures, and you might find the National Dec that you enacted.

They are not automatic, you need to click the green-checked envelope when you have the criteria completed.

Thanks Captain. Ok so if I trigger 5 of them, and they are gone from the list how do I interact with them/know about them? I must be mis-understanding this particular mechanic. Thanks

Once you have met all the requirements the envelope turns green and you can enact it. Doing it or not doing it is the only active interaction you have with these decisions.

As long as you haven't enacted them they do nothing, and once you enact them they add some passive modifiers to your country.
As Zeromentor said, all country modifiers are listed in the government tab (hover over the symbols to see what they do).

Be careful as well. Make sure you read the modifiers carefully because not all are actually beneficial.

LOL so basically, if I've enacted 3 or 4 of them without achieving everything in green I'm actually doing something negative to my nation LOL. Yikes, time for a restart :)

I'm assuming there is no way to undo enacting one that wasn't all green?

no

You can't enact national decisions you don't meet the requirements for, so I'm not quite sure what you mean.
What Hamagottry meant was that most decisions apply both positive and negative modifiers to your nation, and that you should check if they really benefit you in your current situation.

Kager he was asking if he could reverse his decision.. aka taking it back

Yeah, I understood his question, but I was referring to this:

The "enacting decisions without achieving everything in green" confuses me a fair bit, and I'm not sure if I understood what he meant, but I felt like it might help if I clarify some more how decisions work.

i think he was looking at the modifiers and misunderstood it as the "green" enact tick mark

Sorry let me be clear. I clicked on the envelope without meeting all the criteria (green) and when I did that they dissapear from the Decisions list. I thought you wouldn't be able to do that UNLESS you met all the green criteria but that is not the case. That's what I meant by enacting them. So now, I'm not sure how I'm affected since they have dissapeared from the list without meeting the requirements.

Some of them have multiple possible requirements. They will say "One of the following must be true", etc. If you could enact it, and it disappeared from the list entirely, then you had the requirements fulfilled, and you enacted it.

They will also move down the list if you could have enacted it, but lost one of the requirements. "Formalize weights, scales, and measures" will be at the top of the list, have a clickable envelope, and show on your main screen as "national decision available" if you fulfill the requirements, but if you drop below 50 Admin points, it will grey out, return to the list of potential national decisions, and no longer show as 'national decision available' until such time as you acquire 50 admin points again.

All enacted decisions that provide a permanent buff / debuff to some aspect of your nation are displayed in a list on the government tab under "country modifiers", along with temporary event effects and all 'trading in' trade bonuses.
