colonist travel times
Has anyone had this issue? I just started colonizing and my range is only 240 but travel times are over 500 days. This CANT be right on any level, other nations I played as had at most like 100 days for this range. In fact I played this nation just the other day and travel times seemed fine. I am playing as Najd if it matters, and Majerteen (the closest available land) was like 573 days. I've moved on to African islands and same deal, not cool.

Maybe you had some event or modifier making the travel time longer? Check the applying modifiers in your kingdom tab, maybe there is something.

If the checksum didn't catch it and a file was corrupted, this could be exploited to get instant colonist travel time...

I'm not sure how or why you would manipulate this, it happens a lot in my game along with other garbage. It does not increase by a modifier like 33% or whatever but a flat increase of like +500 days. Some other garbage off the top of my head is battle results it will display obsurd numbers instead of like 15000 infantry 8000 cavalry with 3000 and 2000 casualties it would display like 1,500,000 inftanry 800,000 cavalry and 300,000 plus 200,000 casualties. Same thing with naval battles. Sometimes my game crashes when it is saving, at least it is not doing this one thing where if it crashed right after losing a battle I would load back and instead of retreating my army would stand there and get destroyed on the next day. I really enjoy the game but I wish it was more stable. Also after like 1750 there seem to be performance issues with massive blobs moving all over the screen.

I moved my capital to Bahrain, dunno why that would help but it did. Capital of Castille is landlocked and they don't have absurd travels times.

The colonist travel time is from your capital, that's right... If your empire snakes around alot it would explain why.

I tried to reduce the travel time without altering the checksum and I didn't have much success.

Im having this same issue, however to every other commenter who thinks this is an event, its not. Here's why, I am Morroco, I have colonized a bit of Africa and taken over Mali, and im also colonizing the new world. Every province in the new world is now 500+ days away, when before they were 150 or so. Here's where it gets weird. The province Grain Coast and Ivory Coast, right next to eachother on the southern end of West Africa. Ivory Coast, which I border, takes 147 days for my colonist to travel to. Grain Coast, which is right next to Ivory coast, but with whome I dont yet border, is 574 days of travel time for my colonist. This is a HUGE bug that needs to be fixed pronto.

I was able to fix it with moving my capital city, maybe it will help.
