Do DLCs show up, just not mods? If so you probably just need to restart Steam, although occasionally I've found mods take days to appear, for no known reason.

If they both fail to show up, there is other stuff we need to do - let me know.

I'm having the same trouble. Have subscribed to 2 mods and they don't appear. Tried restarting Steam but has no effect.

You could take these steps:
Start launcher (no mods are showing for selection)
Launch game
Exit game
Start launcher (mods should be showing now)

If the mods do not show up after trying this, there is something wrong.

Tried what you suggested twice but still nothing showing up. I remember a similar problem used to happen with Steam mods for Skyrima while back but that problem eventually got sorted much earlier this year with Steam updates. Hope the same problem isn't now happenning here.

Have since checked my mod file for that game in my desktop steam file and it's empty. Although I've subscribed, it appears that Steam never picked that fact up.

as workaround try to manually download the mod package and extract it into "my documents\paradox interactive\europa universalis iv\mod" folder, if "mod" folder doesn't exist just create it.

Alternatively check if Steam downloaded the mod, usually it does into game folder and move them into the folder mentioned above.

For some weird reason the workshop doesn't work fine and I've also experienced some mods appeared days later.

Do you have steam cloud enabled in options? I had the same problem with mods not showing up and it was because of that.

Seems like the 'many days later' result has occured. Just came back to EU after several days absence and found those mods are now listed. Was just about to try that Cloud option mentioned since I currently had it disabled, when I suuddenly noticed this fact. Thanks for your help though. Much appreciated.

make sure you launch the game when the mods are fully downloaded then close it and launch it again

Yeah the steamcloud thing fixed it for me.

Where is the steam cloud option? I only see options for video, audio, controls and autosaves

in steam under game properties, updates tab. its not in the game. also a global one for steam, in the settings menu somewhere.
