Help needed to get into Windowed mode.
Unlike HOI IV, I can't figure out a way to get into Windowed Mode so I can refer to the Paradox WIKI or other Internet sources while keeping the game active.

As it is, I have to save the game, exit to desktop, find what I need, restart the game, ...

I have gone to Options before the start of a new game, set it to Window Mode,

however,

it remains in Full Scree Mode with no ability to access the Internet.

Help would be most welcomed.

Thank you.

Which resolution did you select in windowed mode? You need to select a resolution which is low enough, so that the eu4 window does not fill all of the screen.
But neither a fullscreen window nor the normal fullscreen mode nor the borderless fullscreen(the third option in the display mode setting) prevent you from switching to other programs while playing the game. You can just use alt-tab or whichever keyboard shortcut your OS uses to switch between windows.

Thx. I'll try alt-tab when I get into the game. Hope that works.

I have a Logitech keyboard that does not work how one expects. The keys and functions bind to other actions.

E.g., I read "hit F12 to take a screen shot". On my keyboard, F12 does not do that.
Other F keys do not do what you expect, such as F5 refreshing, etc. I'm sure there must be a way to program the keyboard to work with the game; I just have not spent time learning how to do that.

I don't think that alt-tab will be affected by way that your keyboard handles function keys. Keyboards which have extra actions on their F-keys, usually have a key which you can press at the same time as the F-key to get the normal function of the f-key. It could be labeled "fn" or "function". Sometimes the different effects of the keys are color-coded and the key which you can use to switch the function has the same text-color. There might also be a key which is labeled something like "fn-lock")or "function lock" or "fn" with a padlock icon) which allows you to switch around the behavior of the f-keys(then you have to press fn while pressing an f-key to get the other action from the f-key).

I do have an "fn" key and also have a "lock" symbol above the keypad. I guess I need to take time to figure out how to use this keyboard.

Thank you very much.
