i'm not 100% sure what "has_switched_nation = no" refers too, but i think i heard it refers to play as a released nation. So it should be possible if you form GB.
Jeah then better don't form GB. Didn't thought about that part, but if it explicity checks for SCO, you can't change your tag. Normaly it would check for ROOT, which reffers to your current nation.
If i think more about it, it should be possible to get the achievement if you form GB, then somehow loose scotland and let them vassalize france. Would be a laugh if that works.
As said I don¨t know for certain, and I got no understanding of code, it was merely what I wrote and didn´t want to take a chance :P
Means you cannot play as a released nation it has to be your starting nation.
This seems clear to me. France must be a vassal of SCO - scotland. Forming GB means it cannot be achieved.
has_switched_nation = no
This is common to many achievements. It means you cannot release Scotland as a vassal and switch to playing as them. It prevents you from forming GB and then later releasing Scotland.
The answer to the original post is NO. You must start as Scotland and play only as them.
That is true, but you have to make France a vassal of Scotland and get the achievement. The AI would have to pull it off, which seems rather unlikely. But perhaps not totally impossible?
