Coast Attack with ships
I asked how to demolish walls a few days ago, and some fellows helped me and I decided a clean start. So I restarted the game. This time I have a better preperation to war and I guess I'm gonna take all Urbino with success this time. Also in my old game, Urbino had an alliance with Aragon but somehow They don't have any alliance this time. Anyway, thus I have an advantage. I'm in alliance with Venice.

Well, here is my question, I sent my ships to their waters but I can't attack their coasts. My vessels are waiting in front of their coast. How can I attack and damage them with ships ? Also, I issued embargo but I want to do something more efficient and I want to block all of the waterways how can I do that ? Thanks. (I am playing with Tuscany by the way)

You can only block ports while in war and that's what it seems like you're doing when you're "waiting in front of their coast"
And you cannoy "attack" ports with your ships, only block them however blocking them will give you bonus rolls for sieging.

The ships dont directly attack the coast they just bob about in the sea and you get a blockade bonus, when you select the navy it will have a little box near where the x is to get rid of it that says how much it can blockade.

The blockades are measured in base tax and you need to position the navy in the sea which is connected to the province dock, which is shown by a little castle tower thing with a T shaped bit of wood sticking out the side
