I'm on Ironman i'm mistekly chosen Expansion Idea insted Exploration Idea.
I'm little pissed of so too say :-)
In Jully 183 i will have
Admisbntrative idea level 6, and to unlock new group i need level 7 :-(

You do know that with the 1.8 patch you can undo your idea group?? you will loose 90% of your invested points tho... but yeah

Expansion is a bit unnecessary. You already have one extra colonist from Spanish Ideas(unless they changed it), so 3 colonists total is already enough.

I'd skip expansion since you're already taking exploration and go humanist or religious instead.

I did take Exploration + Expansion, because of +25 settler growth.

There are other ways to improve settler growth. Whenever I have the chance I take those "Colonize *province*" missions for the sweet, sweet extra Settler Growth and Settler Chance.
If I recall correctly there are also two possible Policies which speed up colony building, but I don't recall which ones.

I do that of course, too. But that's what I meant: Expansion + Exploration = Policy with settler growth. ;)

Unfortunley the castilia king with 0/0/0 and his son have 4/4/4 , what a tragedy its it isn't? ;-)
