Timurids 1.35

I'm attempting to get a Timurids run started but ever since 1.35 it really seems like the game is much more difficult for them than it used to be.

The Mamluks, without fail, always support the independence of Transoxiana. I have
a gripe with this since Transoxiana continues to have the "disloyal" opinion even when they are below 50 liberty desire. I popped into Transoxiana in another game to see what they see and the Mamluks can support their independence day 1 by a single reason. I attempted to scornfully insult one of their rivals so that maybe this reason can go away to no avail. On another note, the game is inconsistent on who can support your independence. Sometimes the "cannot reach capital" malice applies, sometimes it doesn't.
Additionally, it seems that Shah Rukh dies much sooner on average, although this is probably random.

I'm wondering if anyone else has done a Timurids campaign since the update and could potentially give advice or if this situation is universal. I don't strink from a challenge but it just seems a bit intense. I mean, AI Mamluks never support Transoxiana's independence when I am playing a nation besides the Timurids.

When I play with Timurids I just usually release Sistan as a vassal because it makes it alot easier to keep the other 3 happy.
