Best nation to play diplomatic?
In your opinion, what's the best country to play in a more diplomatic way? I want to diplo-annex other countries and try some diplomatic related Ideas :P

Thanks

Austria if you want a challenge, otherwise go for; Japan, France, Ottomans, Teutonic Order.
Austria is most likely your best choice. Because you start as the emporer, you get dip relations bonus right of the start. Plus you have lots on small nations in the hre that are easy to vassilize of have good relation with.
The only downside i would think is that austria is an easy country and played often, so you might not have as much of an orignal experience as you might have with other countries.

I thought HRE was a bad idea because it's harder to vassalize a member of HRE, and we get hits on the opinions of the other members of HRE when we do that. But yeah, I can try as an emperor, in Austria. Thanks!

Big, old, angry Ashikaga Bakufu (Japan) is your bast choice since you start off with so many vassals. All you need to do is wait out 10 years and prevent any rebellions in your group so you can mass annex when you get enough Diplomatic Power

Ethiopia while getting Prestor John achievement. The only way to beat Ottos and take Istambul ultimately is to have is to have alliances through dip.rep while being very far away from Europe.
Or Theodoro in gothic invasion achievement. This will test your diplomatic game up to the limit.
Austria of course!
There are even 3 scripted PU missions available - for Burgundy,Hungary,Bohemia - if you look at the wiki sites. In my last game I was already the powerhouse number one in the world after getting 2 PU's and while I was able getting my Habsburg on the polish throne after every election.

In my current Byzantium game Austria got PU's over Spain and England. We crushed France, Poland, Lithuana,Russia many times while I have eaten Turkey, Mamlukes,QQ,Crimea,GH,Hungary and the whole Balkan to breakfast.
Austria is ruled by a Palaiologos of course and is always at 200+ relations :)
Same for Sweden, Aragon and many other christian countries. The Palaiologos are everywhere.
Looks like Byzantium is very diplo heavy too. Not to forget that I only took admin and military ideas in my current game...
The Palaiologos dynasty is pure

Prestor John is easiest if you let rebels turn you sunni.. then you can make alliances in your surrounding area. As an added bonus less provinces to change the religion in.

For diplo heavy game... anything in the HRE..

Japan is a waiting drama. Sea on 2 sides, truce on 2 sides, Chinese technology.
