So don't know why but I just decided this will be the next achievement I go for but I had a couple questions before starting. So the first one is: are naval supplies specific to certain areas? Like coastal provinces, Europe ect. (I can't remember since I've never paid attention to that good before). And if not Europe specific is it a good that colonies have a chance of producing?

I think you only need to own the provinces who start with naval supplies, not counting eventual colonies producing it. You can look in the trade goods map mode to see where it is produced. I don't think it's only coastal provinces producing naval supplies, but I might be wrong

Some inland provinces do produce naval supplies, like in central Hungary.

theres a list of which areas give which goods
Looks like colonies must have a port to get naval supplies

Good luck, Larry.

That is one of the most difficult achievements, certainly in the top 5 hardest. You have to take land from every major power in the entire globe.

I believe that Shozow is wrong. You have to take out colonies also:
happened = { NOT = { any_province = { trade_goods = naval_supplies NOT = { country_or_vassal_holds = NOR } } } }

It clearly says any province.

This is one of the few achievements I have never attempted. My guess is you need to become emperor and get at least 7 reforms done. That way you can have all required HRE provinces at once.

Note - do NOT form Scandanivia - it prevents the achievement.

I just checked the map on one of my saves.

Looks like it might be easier now since the patch where they created several more types of goods. Many of the Naval Supplies provinces are now tropical wood, especially in India, Africa, and South America.

Yeah I found that out when running for the Orissa challenge: own all tropical wood.
Some Spanish colony in America got it, while the only starting tropical wood are africa/asia :/
Cool, thanks for all the comments, guess I shall start this weekend. One last question though, does the line "NOT = { country_or_vassal_holds = NOR }" mean that provinces owned by my subjects count?

Yes, your vassals count for the achievement.

I played with orissa too, naval supplies can pop everywhere just like the damn wood. All the small islands can get it and its a pain in the ass :)
i think its harder then the wood achievement

I think norweigian wood is harder, because you have to beat the super powers on their mainland and conquer mainland provinces. For the orissa achievement you don't and just have to conquer india and snipe some colonies from the super powers, which is much easier.

From those achievements i only tried the orissa one and it's annoying as hell. Just when you conquered all provinces of spain, they get a new one and you have to win another war -.-
