Change Government From 'Empire'

Hey guys, I found this command while going through the EU4 wiki, 'change_government', with an example of this being in use as 'change_government = despotic_monarchy'. However whenever I use the command it just says 'Unknown Command' in the console, so I suspect I am doing something wrong.The page I found this on is here (http://www.eu4wiki.com/Commands) and if anyone knows how to actually use this I would be very greatful as I am stuck with the default 'Empire' government due to converting from CK2.

Go to the Government tab (the first one). In the upper left corner next to where it displays your governemt type, there is a crown. If the crown has an arrow, you can select it and it will display the various gorvenment types availble to you. If it is greyed out, hover over the crown and a tool tip will pop up explaing why you cannot change your government type.

It is not possible to change from an Empire government in the vannila game, which is why I was wondering how to use the console command I had found above. Thanks for answering though.

Ahhh, but there is always that trusted method of "letting the rebels win". Just need to spawn some revolutionaries and get them to force a republic on you, then if you want you can tank your RT and go back into a monarchy...

Console commands to change goverment type
event 9479 - Change Government to Constitutional Monarchy.
event flavor_mng.17 - Change Government to Feudal Monarchy.
event republics.3 - Change Government to Despotic Monarchy.
event revolution.19 - Change Government to Revolutionary Republic.
