Neighbors bonus in technology without neighbors?
Start to play as Cousco, converted into Inca, slaughter all the neighbors. Soon i will be surrounded only by uncolonized land. Will I still get neighbor bonus in technologies? Or should I leave the last neighbor alive?

Depends on how far away the Europeans are I'd say.
And on your and the other nation's current tech level.

So neighbors are not neighboring countries but there is a range in which all countries are neighbors, isn't it?

Neighbours in the sense of the Neighbour bonus is everyone from your tech group plus everyone you directly border.
Oh... I always thought it was only from direct borders.

Either way, it won't change much as a native nation. When you'll meet european you'll close the gap by 80% with the religious/society reform, then you'll try to westernize right after. Then once westernization is complete, neighbor bonus will kick in.

And I've won against Portugal seconds before my country collapsed:)
I succesfully westernized in three playthroughs, but never managed to be good enough to secure all south america...

I got quite unlucky sometimes as well. In one of my games, Great Britain was allied with FRANCE (!) and Portugal (as often). Aaaand Portugal allied France as well. Castille was alone.
And since GB had been colonizing a bit of south america, I had to fight three colonial nations at once if I ever wanted to grab a tiny province. My only ally being the liberated Portuguese Brazil (whose indepedance war got won by an inch)

I guess I'm not good enough to win as a Native ;_;

My Incan collapsed because I haven't checked my adm power gain. I made 0 stab after westernization, but had low manpower and couldn't made +1 stab. That leaded to peasent war and -3 stab, that leaded to interal conflicts.

But I see the strategy to win. Incan has huge manpower and economy while Portugal if not allied to Spain have only 12 transports. Spain had around 24. And they will always be restricted with their boats.

Bad idea was to expand into Carribean trade node. It's better to stick with South-West part.

Keep trying because Inca is very enjoyable game. I got Sun God in first try but it was touch and go at few points due to 2 nasty misclicks and first war was lost badly - Castille and Portugal were allied througout time span and i always had to fought them both at the same time. You have massive advantage in terrain and by smart tactics you can really make their attrition unbearable.

One piece of advice - colonize Falklands and Galapagos - had to fight also UK at the end which was really only major power left to grab Falklands. But as i said it is a blast of a game and ended up with 155k gold, 32.32,32 techs and all ideas.

As far as OP goes, you want to border western nation as soon as possible anyway to reform and westernize.

on very easy mind u, but formed inca, had the support of portugul brazil, they went indepdant. Germany and spain have some holdings, but with colony expansion early on i got the west cpast pf south american and currently eating the aztecs and mayans its 1600, colonising the carabieen now, inca mexico is being fed taken over provinces now. Going to try and march into north america, but thinking of getting an explorer and heading into the pacific and towards asia with the incas.
