Worth changing to Despotic Monarchy?

I'm currently Feudal Monarchy but have no vassels and I think I can live with the manpower hit. I think the -1% unrest from despotic monarchy would be more benificial to me, but haven't changed governments yet. It's a 100 point investment and I haven't done it before so don't know what the process is.

Actually I'm not even sure what the national unrest score does since it doesn't seem to apply to unrest at the province level.

Edit: NVM, looks like the pieces that make up national unrest are applied at the province level, it's just labeled as the pieces and not the larger national unrest concept.

That's still 100 ADM and a small Legitimacy hit, so be careful. The extra manpower is quite nice as well, and Unjustified Demands are kinda situational so unless you're western (care a bit less about "wasting" ADM) and are very likely to get revolts/make unjustified demands, I'd stick to feudal.

Well like I said I have no vassels and the manpower loss amounted to only 3k. Just at face value the -1% unrest appears more valuable to me. Don't quite know what unjust demands means though. If I had to guess it would have to do with making war demands that don't fall in line with the Casus belli, but I could be way off on that.

Yeah, that's it. Anything that is not included in your CB. e.g Vassalizing somebody with a Conquest CB.
