It is easier to get PP if you have many rivals, since you get the passive modifiers and small actions like embargoes, privateering and insults can get you over the 25 mark.
Humiliation in a war is wonderful and great for when you want to hurt your rival, gain tradition, prestige and PP without taking land and gaining AE. Not everything in EU4 is about taking land immediately. The PP from a humiliation treaty will get you over the 50 point meter and keep you there for a long time.
Because I've tried doing multiple but only got points for the 1st one, but later I found out it doesn't give you points if you're in truce mode. And I'm not sure if I had a truce with them at the time So I'm not sure if you can only do it once (in so many years) or you should insult all your rivals to get max points.
That is a good point. Since you cannot 'easily' gain prestige now from battles or exploration, PP is a good way to get some army bonuses especially if your prestige is lower than your rivals.
WRONG Humiliation always gives you 30 pp thats the ONLY thing it does. But taking provinces/ declaring war/ insulting/ etc only give pp when done to a rival
We all love PP and apearently theres a lot of nice ways to earn it. Thread was/is quite informative.
But i was partially correct humiliation alwasys gives 30 pp but its only possible when its your rival... so i was wrong saying you where wrong. ;)
Actually. there is a cap of 30 PP per rival. For example, if you still have 4 PP from previously humiliating a particular rival you will only receive 26 PP bringing the total back up to 30 PP against that rival.
