How do you get Colonists?

You need administration tech, and the relative monarch points(diplomatic for you, most likely) to unlock the ideas.

Get Expansion or Exploration and put enough points into it to unlock at least one colonist > click on a new discovered empty province and click on the icon to send a colonist > wait a few weeks or months till he arrives > see your colony growing till its finished and send the colonist to a new province = profit!

As above. I chose Expansion or Exploration and moved up the track. Sent ships to discover new land then colonized it,

So, I had conquered a bit of natives countries, but I still don't understand what you all say by "Colonist"-"Colonists". Where the ♥♥♥♥ is the colonize button?

At Admin tech level 5 you will unlock your first idea group. Pick either Exploration or Expansion when you do, then start buying the individual ideas in that group. They will unlock colonists for you.

Note, however, that colonists won't do you any good if you can't see uncolonized provinces that are within your colonial range. If you're an early colonizer (like Castile or Portugal), you'll need to pick Exploration so that you can hire explorers and conquistadors to reveal the map. If you're a late colonizer, you may be able to skip Exploration.

Aside from idea groups, some nations have colonists in their national ideas and some mission trees reward colonists as well, but all of these are nation-specific. Any nation can pick Exploration or Expansion

click on a nearby coastal or border uncolonised land province then bottom left should show button
