Why did my Colonial Nation's Conquest Casus Belli disappear?
I was using my CNs conquest CB to eat North American tribes but now it's no longer available. They have land borders with tribes. It's 2 separate CNs, in North America and Mexico. I heard it might be because they embraced feudalism, but I don't think they did, though I'm not sure how to tell exactly. I can attack some tribes but not others.

The conquest CB requires that your CN has claims on the provinces. Colonial nations have Generic missions[eu4.paradoxwikis.com]. Some of them give claims or permanent claims on all provinces which they neighbor at the time when they complete the mission. But eventually you will have conquered all the provinces which they neighbored at that time. And if you don't, the non-permanent claims will expire after 25 years. If your conquests helped them to fulfill the next mission, they will get new claims, but this is not necessarily the case(or they completed two missions at the same time, so the second mission didn't give new claims)
You can click on their flag in the missions tab to see which missions they have completed and which missions they could complete
The claim likely expired. If you want them to fabricate new claims, set the provinces on their border as vital interest. Subjects will fabricate claims on provinces you deem to be of vital interest.
Claims only last for 25 years, and in my experience when a subject nation's temporary claim on a particular province expires, they will never attempt to fabricate a new claim on that same province again, regardless of whether you use Vital Interest or anything like that.

I have no idea why or whether that's even a common thing or just confirmation bias on my part. It's just a pattern that I've noticed in my own games - if I wait too long to make use of a subject's, especially a CN's, non-permanent claims, I can wait for years or decades afterwards and never see them make new claims on those pesky natives.

Why did Paradox have to get rid of free CBs on natives with exploration ideas :steamsad:
