EU4 on Mac

Recently tried to return to this game, using a M1 macbook, have had a large number of crashes. From what I understand from other forum posts, it may have to do with changing country tags. Sometimes can be alleviated by reloading (-1) years and continuing. But many saves end up breaking.
Have had other issues with Total War games and a text file insert into the directory cleared most issues, does that exist for EU4?

Check the first few lines of the demangled stack trace in the exception.txt to see which of the macOS crashes your campaign has. You can search the bugreports forum to find more information about each crash and possible workaround

Cheers lad, have reverted to a previous version (1.37.2). Hopefully problems stop occurring. Sick of crashes wrecking everything.
