What is the easiest way to become norse in eu4 in ironman mode as a noob?

I suck so bad at this game. But still, in single player, I want to play as a Scandinavian country and change religion to Norse because it is the only unique pagan faith that is culturally European in eu4. Also I would like tips for how to convert Europe to Norse once I convert to Norse and how to defend myself from angry Christians.

The wiki outlines the only ways to play as Norse:

There are three ways a country can end up following the Norse religion:

1. Start as Norse country, which only spawn in random new world unless created as a custom nation or as part of a mod.

2. Complete the “A Wave of Curiosity” event chain.

3. Convert via Norse rebels. If there are no Norse provinces at the beginning of the game, they can be spawned by completing “The Awakening of the Norse Faith” event.

As for how to convert Europe, the standard ways. Stack missionary strength and increase their number every way possible--advisors, the Religious idea group, monuments, and so on. To defend yourself, blob out. If you and your alliance are stronger than everyone else, no one will dare to attack you.

If you are new to the game, I would recommend starting as a norse custom nation(needs El Dorado DLC). The wave of curiosity event chain needs a lot of luck or savescumming. The awakening of the norse faith works very reliable, but it needs quite some experience to get animist zealots to scandinavia to trigger the event
