Report a translation problem
The chinese have surprised me once again how petty they can be. I can't imagine getting mad about something like that to take the time and energy to review bomb ANOTHER game made by the same producer.
Especially since from what I have heard, there are many much more pressing problems with the recent hoi4 dlc.
There are many more pressing problems in china they should worry about. Like communism and censorship of their entire media consumption. They can go pound rice.
Sadly, blanket review bombing for political and cultural reasons (not to mention pure spite) has become the norm over the last decade. I pay no attention to customer or audience ratings for this exact reason. Read reviews from critics you respect; ignore everyone else.
Meanwhile, Jim, who spent a decade living in India, married a woman from India, and is a veteran diner when it comes to Indian cuisine, rates Delhi Dinners at five stars.
Their reviews are given the same weight and give Delhi Dinners a net review score of 3/5. This is why consumer reviews are completely worthless for any and all products (Yelp, etc) because there are no qualifying metrics by which reviews are derived. Everyone's allowed to be critical regardless of whether or not they even understand what it is they're critiquing, had any possibility of liking it in the first place, or even have sufficient comparative exposure to give any basis to their opinion.
Worse, in this case Bob doesn't even eat at Delhi Dinners. He ate at a totally separate restaurant owned by the same guy, Farouk's Falafel Fest.
And he's not mad about the falafel (Farouk makes excellent falafel), he's pissed because a poster on the wall in the restaurant says falafel was invented in Tunisia and it outrages Bob that anyone could believe it was invented anywhere other than Turkey.
Yep. Precisely. It's really so awful and stupid.
I own a bakery and I had a customer order Bavarian pretzels (traditional style, so done using lye) as one of the dessert items for their wedding, with some dipping options like caramel, etc. They paid for delivery. I had excess so I brought one with me to snack on during the drive - delicious. I got a bad review from them a few days later because they were unhappy that the pretzels were very tough and the exterior had gotten dry. I chatted with their wedding coordinator, who confirmed that the guests did love them... when they ate them early on... but that it wasn't our fault. You see, the happy couple apparently had a pegboard wall and had the coordinator (against her advice) put the pretzels on the pegboard wall... throughout the entirety of the ceremony, the reception, dinner, dance, etc. So the guests who snuck one early on gave great feedback. But go figure if you leave a bread product unwrapped, open-air, in summery warmth, that it dries out. They've had bread before. They surely aren't so stupid as to know what happens in those conditions. But it's my fault, you know, so here, have this bad review.
I tried contesting the review on that basis, but the review company has left it in place. Didn't affect my average (we get mostly 5-stars), but, annoying to just have to live with the baseless review existing.
Ouch. Good thing it all happened quickly, or they'd have waited six weeks and sued you for the bread going moldy.
