Castilian Civil War?!
What is this event? It seems like it is only there to paralyze you for the next 10 years.. how are you supposed to defeat 1x 30 stack and 2-3 10x stacks roaming :D

I never had this event before :(

Perfectly triggered when I declared war on Aragon -.-

I had no idea that was even a thing. I thought obnoxious scripted civil wars were only a Britain and Vijayanagar thing. Did you have low legitimacy maybe? That can trigger civil wars.

No clue, my old king died the second I attacked Aragon and he got replaced by this 0/0/0 guy called Enrico. The rebellion the sieged my homeland, I couldn't defend it in time because I was in Italy with half of my army and half of my army was fighting a very weak Aragon.

The rebellion won, beheaded Enrico and I got a new 3/4/7 king :p. Manpower was 0 after that tho :( I should have just let it happen I guess

It's been around for a while. You have to know about it and be prepared with a big chunk of gold in the bank to immediately hire mercs to put them down.

One thing that all newer players should do is go through and read all the events and missions on the wiki page for any country you plan to play, *before* you play it.

The Spanish Civil war is inconvenient and requires money to handle but it is just an inconvenience if you know to expect it.

The War of the Roses on the other hand is usually an opportunity to get a really nice leader :)

It wasn't the Spanish Civil war, it was called Castilian Civil war.

Spanish Civil war is when you get a regency, I had a 0/0/0 KING called Enrico. :D

I was offered 2 options:

Option 1: get 60 rebels and get closer with portugal
Option 2: get 60 rebels something else

I choose Option 1 and lost the war

This is the only thing I found online about the event: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/will-sevilla-steer-to-genoa-isnt-unhistorical.857454/page-10#post-19374427

-Added in 1.12
-Similar to War of the Roses

The rebels want to help you get rid of the ♥♥♥♥ king appearantly?!

I just went through the Civil War.

I'm beginning to think that you should just let it happen instead of trying to win it. So the rebels win and you get a new leader. Big deal, it's not like you've lost the game.

Better to let them win then to let your economy go in the tank hiring mercs.
