Universalis 4 sucks, total war: empire much more interesting game

I don't know why you like this game. It's really boring. All you do is wait for monarch points. Techs mechanics are so stupid and boring too. Once you learn game mechanics you understand that game is not complex strategy at all. It's a fake complexity substituted by a huge amount of of stupid branches to make it look like complex.

Total war empire is far more fun and engaging strategy game (though diplomacy there is not god either) than this pile of sh_it.

Empire: Total War is a fun RTS game. What it is not. Is a fun Grand Strategy game. Unfinished as ♥♥♥♥ btw. The game lacks the entire globe. [Which EA promised] The map is un-interesting because only a few nations are able to be played. [Without severe modding]. And over-all EU4 In my experience has been a better game. Now. Not trolling at all. I heard about this game and read owners praise it, bought it, played it and found out that game sucks badly compared to total war empire. I am just dissappointed how boring this game is compared to total war empire (though in total war empire late game turns take too long time)

EU4 used to be better than RTW regarding empires (that you can assimilate countries -> convert cultures, religions etc). Which is not really possible in Total War. AI and Combat wise I think Total War is far superior. For the record, I have logged many hours in both (RTW non-steam). (I have only played Empire Total War a little)
Nowadays, the costs of doing pretty much anything in EU4 are so high it is not fun anymore. Converting cultures was already expensive, but conquering is now way more expensive as well.

Now with the new patch, it is just a pain in the ass to play. It removed the fun out of war for me. Also "developing" your country with buildings is just a thing you do once and a while. The new DLC made it seem like you could be a OPM for years and still grow, but this is just not the case.

The AI in Total War is better? You mean, the same AI that have no sense of tactics beyond sitting on a hill? The same AI that pretty much only knows how to move it's armies and do little else? I'm not so sure we're talking about the same AI here :P. I love Total War, I played the heck out of Rome Total War when I was younger, but they all seem so bland and straightforward compared to EU4. It's a matter of personal taste indeed, but it cannot be argued the AI of TW is better than EU4.

I am not saying the AI in RTW is great, but in EU4 they are not better: Only shipping small armies, not focusing on objectives, not stacking on your army when they are your ally, when your manpower is not low they will pretty much never attack, not combining fleets and thus getting rekt. At least in RTW they move their armies and actively engage you. The AI felt like a threat. In EU4 I only feel that when I am heavily outnumbered and/or I have a lot of negative events.

It's very easy to understand my thread for people with brain.

I have played total war empire for years (civ and other strats too) but never tried universalis. So i wanted to try some new game. So i read players praise universalis and thought that it's a good strat game that wil be fun to play. What a dissappointment the game is.

So that's why i made this thread so that other players who wanna buy this game wil think twice cause this game is pile of sh_it compared to total war empire (i wrote more specific in my original post, look above).

On the other hand, who do you think you people are to prohibit me to post my opinion? You are nobodies.

The fact remains that you are spending/wasting your free time evangelising your 'hate' of a game instead of playing one you purport to love. What does that say about you? Nothing good, I'm afraid. But you're certainly not alone :D

And I am not trying to prohibit you from posting your opinion at all. You're very welcome to do so but YOU have to accept the consequences of creating threads like this on the game's dedicated Steam forums instead of lashing out butt-hurt at people who don't agree with you. Of course people like the game and we are going to be posting more actively here. It's clearly irrational to be hanging around the boards of a game you don't like when there are so many more productive things to do with your time. Or maybe not. LOL.
