Nope. It just plays better.
when i attack and they retreat, sometimes they will go to an unoccupied province. it used to be they would regroup and then get back into the fight (either smartly or dumb based on morale). now, they just stay there the rest of the war. as italy (and others), i was fighting bavaria (and others), and managed to beat 3 armies of 10, which then retreated. those 30 units sat in a neighbor country while my 8 units left in the area took all their territory.
because i'm not really interested in vanilla. i'm more interested in a half-working ET, than a fully working vanilla.
no worries - i didn't know there was a history of ai issues associated with ET, at least not a major one i've noticed until the most recent eu4 update. i was just looking at mod and eu4 discussions about ai changes, and ended up here.
I'm confused- where's the cheat?
(Actually this... basically just sounds like the Great Northern War. You kicked the crap out of Russia, then they got their crap together and kicked the crap out of you.)
Kind of yeah but the tech, bonuses, etc were all the same as the previous war as there was like 2 months delay in between wars, bit weird.
Did you catch them drilling/at low morale/with heavily depleted regiments the first time? I'm wondering if your early luck in repeated stackwipes might have been the anomaly.
Nah, they outnumbered me 2 to 1 when I was stackwiping them also but when they did it to me I outnumbered them 2 to 1.
That's interesting. I know they did some combat rebalances, maybe there's something wacky going on when you outnumber your enemy.
