Multiplayer shared pause button?

Hi, is there a way to pause the game without being host? me and my friend play a lot and sometimes he goes AFK for 5-10 minutes and I really need to pause the game. Is there a mod or anything? or a setting to do this or no?

Any player should be able to pause the game (unless maybe the host can disable that in lobby settings) by manually clicking on the date/game speed section of the UI on the top-right corner. The normal spacebar method of pausing is disabled in multiplayer, but just clicking on the date should still work.

Anyone can pause by pressing 'esc' and then pressing statistics. It forces a pause.

i think you have to press the pause button with your mousse, the space bar doesnt do anything.
