Obviously the Hindu monuments provide vastly greater benefits, and by the time you're Mughals most of India is yours and the CB from Religious ideas will apply effectively globally already, but the concept is entertaining to me. A post-Iranian superpower reverting to a proto-Iranian faith.
The main issue with Confucian is that you need to get to China first, which takes a lot longer than getting to India. And you pretty much get enough religious land share for the Hindu switch just by following your mission tree into India, whereas with confucian you either have to ignore your missions completely or do some rebel shenanigans.
