Hawaii tips?

So I feel like getting the achievement to form USA as Hawaii, but I don't want to mess it up once I'm far into the game so I'm wondering what the best strategy would be.

Should I rush into the new world or should I focus on the Spice Islands? Should I move my capital to the new world as soon as I have one province there? Other than explo/expansion what ideas should I take? Do I take diplomatic to try to ally one of the colonizers?

Any tips would be great, and hopefully this will show up in the search for other people who want to play Hawaii as well in the future!

Conquer all of Hawaii. Develop provinces to spawn Feudalism and Renaissance, then take the Exploration idea group. Leapfrog your colonies to Panama then the US east coast. Move your capital there by releasing the other islands in Hawaii as a vassal. Then become the US.

Easy and dull.

So that's it, I just ignore everything else and rush new world? Sounds so simple, why is it so rare

And it was a relatively recent achievement added in, as I recall. One year, two at most?

So do I move my capital only once I'm ready to form USA or can I move it right away when I reach the new world?

Move it just once, after you've colonized the US east coast. You're almost certain to beat all the Europeans there if you follow my outline.

So just rush and ignore the Europeans, get the required provinces, form USA? It's really that easy? I'll go ahead and try it, thank you!

So the English got to Eastern US in 1520. Should I move my capital to new world so I can destroy their colonial nation when it forms? I'm scared.

You got unlucky with England arriving so early. But you don't need to destroy anything to get the achievement. You just have to form the US.

I needed 10 provinces in Eastern US but there weren't that many available for colonization so I just attacked Thirteen Colonies and got the achievement. It was pretty easy and dull overall, but felt good in the end! Thanks for the help!
