How long do kings live?
I am currently playing England and My ally and marriage partner, Portugal has no heir and the king is 52 years old. Should I wait unti he's older or claim now? How long would he live for on average?

It varies, i've had my king die at the age 40-50 but also 70-75. The most common i see is 60-67.

I 'think' it would be a safe bet to say that he'll live for atleast another 7 years or so.

Could be wrong tho.

If you claim now he'll probably live another 30 years and somehow produce a heir somehow.
If you don't claim he'll drop dead any time now. :P

Nah, should be about right. A king or queen can die at any age - even with just 16. Once they reach their 60s they are usually approaching their end, but I've also seen some live well into the high 70s.

if they have 5+ in a stat, 5 years, if they have 0/0/0, 80+

But honestly, the chance of death seems to go up as they age, things like having them as a general greatly decrease their lifespan, they can live into their 80's (I've never seen a 90+ King, but I havent watched that closely for one)

Female leaders tend to stop having heirs around their 50's, male rulers can have heirs at any age I think.
