Austria Hungary PU how?

I saw that regularly at the AI, but I, playing Austria atm, while friendly with Hungary and in Alliance, is there a timeframe for the PU? Something I must do? ?__?

you will get the mission.. probably.. year 1500 and more. i got it in like.. 1580..

Same with Bohemia btw( you may get a mission). So be wary of that possibility as well.

Hm ok I have the mission now, but... is it better to force Hungary via a war or does it happen over time automatically?? ^^

It will "maybe" happen automaticly but that is like throwing a hundred sided dice hoping for a seven.
Best to just force the issue ;)

When a Habsburg king dies in Hungary without legal heir Hungary has a choice to join Austria in a PU or elect a Hunyadi king. Hungary in most of the cases chooses the Hunyadi king and then Austria gains the restoration of union CB. I got it while I had a regency council, and it is so short that I couldn't use it. :(

The missions also have a higher chance of triggering if you rival both Bohemia and Hungary. If your opinion of them is lower than 0 the chance of the mission appearing is x2

I got Hungary in 4 PUs with Austria. I played Austria 4 times so far ^^.

First time:
I royal married Hungary at start, since they are in an interegum you have the chance that a noble from the Habsburg dynasty will take the throne.
Since the noble had no heir, I claimed throne and attacked. PU after 6 years in the game, that was my fastest Hungary PU ^^.

Second time:
I took the mission to sbujugate them.

Third time:
The Hungarian event happened that gave me a restoration CB on Hungary.

Fourth Time:
Their king died one month after his heir died in a hunting accident and I got a PU over Hungary. I had to fight france since they challenged the PU. But Austria is OP. After 30 years in the game you can crush everyone with Austria :P
