Tolerance of Folk Religions
I need help please.

I play with the Timurids. Unfortunately, I chose thi privilege "Tolerance of Folk Religions" during an event, not knowing that it would increase Ulema Influence by 60% (it wasn't even noted in the event). Now I have ulema influence at 135% (with other privileges). I would get 100% loyalty (I'm at 86%), but that's no use to me because the influence has to be lower than the loyalty.

Anyone have any idea how to get rid of this privilege?

You'll have to start seizing land. Keep your loyalty above 50 percent and if you can't, stay in war. That way, the disaster won't tick up.

Are you playing with mods? To grant that privilege, you have to have an Eastern religion as your faith--Shinto, Confucian, or the various forms of Buddhism. And as the Timurids, you should either spend the entire game as Sunni or convert to Hindu after you form the Mughals.

Don't worry, the effective Influence cannot exceed 100% unless you're using a mod that REALLY screws the estates up, so get the Loyalty to 100% and revoke away.

Your only hope now is to complete Espionage Ideas and take the “Puppeteer the Nobility” government reform, which allows you to revoke privileges regardless of loyalty and influence, which is quite OP hence they had to balance it by forcing you to take ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Espionage.

For the same ability, accept Kongolese culture and upgrade the local Great Project to tier 3. Yeah, it's not especially better an option, but there you go.

It's not THAT bad anymore, at least.

Edit Referring to espionage.

Influence that high will lower your Crownland Equilibrium doe, you’ll consistently loose land upon conquest, probably gonna stay around 10%.

I give as few privileges as possible now even if it’s the Age of Discovery, I prefer to give Monopolies instead of the “10% loyalty and 10% influence” privilege, I also stopped giving the cheaper advisors privilege once I am economically healthy enough.

I see a lot of let's players keeping their ownership to 20 and 30 percent, but I couldn't be bothered. I take as much land as I can, even before absolutism.

Most of them dont show serious gameplay though and make questionable decisions. I watch some of them for fun, but i wouldnt suggest learning from them. The only one that can really teach you stuff is Florryworry and then only if you are interested in breaking the game with high skilled gameplay.

You taking as much land as possible is the right decision, you always want to be at least at 75% crownland when absolutism hits.
