I think Lord Captain capitulated on this one. He just rolled over and succumbed to Tiger's arguments.

https://www.powerthesaurus.org/surrender - apparently there are 1.3k surrender synonyms listed here (although I reckon some have been repeated).

1.abandonment (sort of)
2.abdications (depends)
3.acquiescence (more or less)
4.capitulations (sure)
5.delivery (no)
6.renunciation (almost the opposite)
7.submission (sure)
8.arappeasement (it's appeasement and it's only somewhat similar)
9.cessation (stop =/= surrender)
10.relenting (no see above)
11.relinquishment (close enough)
12.dedition (insanely obscure)
13.white flag (never heard that used as a phrase to mean surrender though i wouldn't object)
14.1812 (no)
15. giving up (not a word)
16.yield (yep)
17.hand over (not necessarily)

Oh, it's this meme again. The best part is that France was one of the winners of the war that spawned the "surrender" meme 60 years later.

Why do you think they hold a permanent seat in UNSC?
