Europa Universalis IV

Europa Universalis IV

Question about movement at nearby fort.
Hey there,

I'm new to Europa Universalis. I have run into a problem during a war and I was wondering if anyone could clear up the mechanics for me. I am called into a war by Denmark against Sweden. The Sweden had their troops on "Slaeland" (see screenshot), and I tried to move my troops from the country above Holstein to Fyn. However, when I did the game refused my movement command due to a nearby fort. As far I can see the only nearby fort present is the one owned by Denmark. Even though I don't think it would be needed, I also tried asking them for movement rights, but that didn't solve the problem.

Anyway, my question is why I can't move my troops to Fyn. I thought I understood the mechanics, but apparantly I don't. I play the vanila game.

From what I can tell from the screenshots it's a problem with the UI giving a false reason.
The reason you can't move to Fyn isn't because of a fort, but because of the hostile fleet blocking the way across the strait.
You can't go across straits if there are enemy ships in the same seazone.
Ah okay. Yea, that explains it.Thanks for the quick responses!
