Best nation for a Jewish run?

Judaism looks cool in the new update but the only nation I can think of trying are the Ethiopian separatist rebels at start. Are there any cool new or old nations to form Israel as?

I don't have Origins, but I know a lot about it, I've spent a lot of time looking at reviews and discussions from people who do have it.

The simple answer is Ethiopia. Why? To my knowledge, it's the only country that CAN form Israel. This is because Ethiopia has a mission for when they suppress the Beta Israeli rebellions, which takes about 2-3 months. The reward? All provinces are converted to Coptic, eradicating the Judaism 5 seconds into the game.
(This may be incorrect, but if this is accurate, it just goes to show how little thought goes into the DLCs these days)

Refer to the "Forming Israel" thread. There it explains you can form Israel with any nation as long as it isn't colonial or an endgame tag. Ethiopia cannot form it as they are an endgame tag

Right, but they can easily go Jewish if they let the rebels break the nation while force converting a bunch of provinces. I've done this for the "Shemot is not" achievement.

But i wouldn't play Jewish atm.. They got no monuments and their "special" decision the third temple auto launches after converting jersualem and you can choose to either pay 4000 ducats and get -200 opinion with all muslims or you have to pay 5000 ducats for the tier 1 monument city of jerusalem which increases missionary strength vs heretics...which don't exist for jewish...

Are custom nations unable to get achievements ("Shemot is not")? If I create custom 1-province hebrew-jewish nation and somehow will be able to conquer and convert whole Egypt region, will I get it?

Nope, custom nations are indeed unable to get it. They are unable to get any of the Origin achievements.
