Tips on playing Bohemia
I am fairly new in the game and I would appreciate any general tips about playing as Bohemia.
Which ideas are good, which direction to expand etc. I am playing vanilla 1.11.4.
Also the lonely achievement associated with Bohemia is "The Bohemians" - "As Bohemia, own Dublin as a core province." But I can't find any Dublin province in my current Castile game. Does it rename somehow during the game?

Can I sell provinces (to a vassal) in vanilla? I haven't found how. Also in my Bohemia game, I pissed off all the small nations by vassalizing Bavaria. They formed a huge coalition against me. How to proceed now? I still have Austria and Poland as allies...

If you have Austria and Poland, with Poland having a PU with Lithuania, you should be fine, unless literally every single small nation in the HRE joined in the coalition against you ,which is highly unlikely, though if that is the case if they declare war on you just try to quickly take out isolated units, and dodge their bigger stacks until backup arrives.

But if they don't declare war on you, just wait for a good amount of years, probably about 5-10 ingame years, and there shouldn't be many if any in a coalition against you. A coalition will only form on you if you have over 30 aggressive expansion impact on them.

Though the bigger worry is that if you get into a big war like that, everyone is going to pounce on you or your allies in your moment of weakness.

Yeah they will backstab you any time they can, i got destroyed by a coalition of 10 little ♥♥♥♥♥ when Poland went to war. but i found bohemia really easy to play, just annex vassals and conquer every few years until you control most of the HRE, and then try to take out austria or poland.

you can't get the achievement in 1.11.4 as it was introduced in 1.12

Bohemia is one of the countries which has a very real chance of becoming Emperor and uniting the Empire, so you don't necessarily need to focus on expanding through the HRE. If you are though, it's pretty vital that you get some way of handlign aggressive expansion. Both humanist and influence ideas are good picks for Bohemia as it can easily reach full heretic tolerance with its national ideas and will, in their own way, help aggressive expansion. Until then, go very slowly.

The ideal would actually be to expand into Poland, as the Poles share a culture group with you and their land is very rich, but doing so may be extremely challenging due to the strength of the Polish lithuanian commonwealth. If you do seem them struggling though, take the shot!

If you only want to play Bohemia to get the new achievment there's actually a pretty easy way to do it. At game start ally at least 2 electors (Saxony and Mainz are good) and improve relations with the others. Austria rarely allies other electors now, only the Palatinate ocasionally. If they rival you, restart until friendly or neutral if you want. With a little bit of luck Austria's monarch dies soon and you get elected emperor, ad with more luck you may inherit Burgundy which gives you instant ports to fabricate claims on England. Then just build a navy, get access on an irish minor and take meath. Good allies are Castile/Aragon (because France will turn hostile after you inherit Burgundy) Teutonic Order, Muscovy and Hungary (to kill Poland early on). Or just play a pacient campaign and get it later on :)

Im currently playing as Bohemia to get that same achievement, im the emperor but somehow my IA doesnt increase. Religious wars are over and whenever I demand to convert to my religion I get no IA, in fact I loose 1. France attacked a small country in the HRE, we won and didnt get any IA...this is impossible, im stuck at the 3 reform...

Well if Hungary is allied with France or Austria, you don´t have much choice but to expand in Poland, specially if you want to become Emperor, which is nice both regarding gameplay and roleplaying.

I ended up crushed by all the small forces of the HRE. On my other game, i have a question. How to release or conquer a vassal you got by total annexing his master. It says I cannot release him, because it's acquired in peace deal... I don't like that a single province vassal is eating the whole relation slot.

Old HRE is broken, try HRE in 1.12

I'm currently playing it as well and it works perfectly well. You don't ask them to convert, you declare war on them and force religion. That way you keep your IA ticker in the positive. Additionally conquer Poland/Hungary/Ottomans/France, core their provinces and add them to the HRE.
