Protestant from the start

Is there a way to be protestant from the start? With a mod or cheat? Maybe changing something in the files?

Start years other than the default are no longer supported and can have major, game killing issues.

Well I have never started a game after the start year so this doesent really affect me

You could enable Protestantism with the following console command

event 2001

Then you can immediately switch to protestantism if you started as a catholic country.

you could alos start as bohemia who starts with the possibility to go hussite.

You can start as a custom nation. Then you can be any religion even norse (or protestant).

I think there's also an event for hussite nations to switch to protestant once the protestant reformation does its thing. I don't know how common this event is though

That event[eu4.paradoxwikis.com] always happens to Bohemia if they are Hussite. Other hussite countries only get it if Bohemia chooses to switch to Protestantism.

You could download a 'cheat' mod, I believe theres a few that allow you to swap to protestant from the start. If that doesn't work I could throw a mod together to make a decision for you

No you can't. Customs can only be an existing, extinct or fictitious religion, not a future religion.
