Can you convert to catholic as Qing?
I'm going for a manchu/qing game, I'm wondering if it's possible to convert to catholic later on.

I know Ming can from checking the wiki but it doesn't specify if Qing can. I know catholics dont get much love in eu4 but I really enjoy the buffs you can get with papal influence and the curia controller bonuses.

Any nation can convert to any major religion via zealot uprisings. However, as the Qing, it would be very difficult unless you invaded Europe (by which point you are just too massive), or if Japan has surrendered to Catholicism. Otherwise no, they don't get any events like Japan or the Ming. Just keep in mind that it is best to have under 50% religious unity before surrendering to a religion, especially as China.

Yes I know of that, but Ming seems to have some event chain that leads to converting to catholic (taken from wiki) :

"If Ming chooses to accept Jesuit entry into China, it can lead the nation down an event chain culminating in the state religion changing to Catholicism."

So i'm wondering if Qing gets any similar events/missions/decisions to convert to catholic?

Nope, at least not that I'm aware of, and I have played as the Qing a few times.
