Help with World Discoverer

Hello it's 1783 at the moment and i explored every single bit of the planet,yet it's not unlocking(i assume this is a fault on the counter's part) and the achievement "mini ledger" in game says i discovered 2459/3249,now i know that cannot be right,but i still am wondering,what i am missing here,i'm just walking around lakes constantly now trying to uncover them,i also found a few places in Africa,little circles of terra incognita in wasteland provinces(meaning i cannot get to them) but those can't be it
I already looked around the Carribean and Indonesia but i cannot find a single island that has even a slight hint of Terra Incognita

You need to discover all land provinces including wastelands. So you need to bring conquistadors with you and circle the wastelands.

I discovered all of the wasteland provinces though,and there are small pockets of terra incognita inside of them(exclusively around lakes) and i cannot enter there due to them being wasteland so there is no way for me to uncover that

The lakes inside wasteland provinces etc such as in canada are not part of the achievement if I remember correctly. Must be that you missed some other land province. There are a lot of islands you could of missed one.

Did achievements get turned off for your game? WIth how ironman works now it is possible for ironman to keep working, but your achievements to be disabled. You can tell by the little trophy in the top right corner of the ui. If it is greyed achievements are disabled, you can scroll over it for a reason.

Nope it's golden,so i can still earn achievements and actually got one quite recently,i'm getting the feeling the achievement is broken since the ingame counter is aswell and as far as i can tell the only TI is on lakes that i cannot uncover due to them being in wasteland(the Uganda wasteland in Africa being an example)

Ugh..that sucks -.- It's not like i dedicated a whole playthrough to it though,just did it casually at the end so it's not that big of a deal

I found that there are lots of tiny islands which you may not think are provinces. Your best bet is to see what missions you can give to your explorers in sea provinces -- if there are any "explore the coasts of X" missions left, you may still need to send the explorers out.

I found when I got the achievement that I was missing a tiny island group off of Kamchatka at the very end. I only got it by checking the explorers.

The achievement probably has some problem, so your best bet is wait and you'll unlock it without bothering in another campaign.
Just like you, I had four or five colonial games where I had the whole map unlocked way before 1821 but never unlocked the achievement, yet it triggered in an Ottoman game where I never bothered exploring, only based on map sharing.

Same problem here. Discovered everything, no explorer missions aviable. About 900 (!!!!) provinces missing, according to the achievment list. I might be an idiot but i didnt miss 1/3 of the map.

Have you clicked on all small islands in the pacific and made sure they have been discovered ? Have you done the same for all uncolonized provinces ?

Many provinces you have to send conquistadors manually to explore.

Its for me bugged too, but it will trigger in some later games for sure :)

When I strived for this achievement, the last provinces uncovered by me were in Siberia, Russia.

Also not being able to send explorers to mission could be that you are too far away from existing missions. Do you have provinces all around the globe?

i´m going for world domination... have about 1000 provinces right now all over the world. discovered every sea tile and as far as I know, every island..
BUT we´re not talking about one or two missing provinces but 900!!!! And I´m pretty sure I would notice a white spot the size of Asia on the map.
Again I´m willing to confess that it´s possible that i missed some provinces, but not 900 and that ´s the same problem Drake had, so i guess it´s a bug.

a little update. In the meantime I conquered whole asia, europe and africa. have colonies all over america, australia, oceania and siberia (to uncover the wastelands there). I own (including vassals) around 1500 provinces (which is a pain in the a.. btw). the conquistadores wont move in the new world, when I send them to hunt for the seven cities, so I´m pretty sure I discovered everything there, but there are still around 800 provinces not discovered, according to the achievment log. Ironman in general is not broken, I earned several achievments, like silk road, over a thousand and grand armada.
Any ideas? I really don´t like this world dom thing and wouldnt want to do it again, just for that discovery achievment. Thanks.
