how to improve trust when not in alliance

hey guys, after the new patch with the new system something really weird happens, or there's something i am missing. I cant make new alliances because of the trust modifier, a few examples

i play as italy, HRE emperor and expand towards kebab. I got alliances with poland since day 1 and got great relations. later in game after a war with otto+muscovy, they loose from muscovy and peace out alone annuling our treaties. Years later after annul treaties is over i have 200 relations with them , they got 200 with me, i got my dynasty on their throne and royal marriage, common rival muscovy and they dont ally with me because of low trust. (-2000 modifier) whatever i do trust doesnt increase or increase insanely slow.
Same thing happens with other nations that we got good relations and our interest dont confict but still dont ally because of trust that i can literally do nothing to increase , whats the catch?

Are you sure it's been 10 years since separate peace with annuling treatie?

You can increase trust when you demnand return cores (+10 per province, if I not wrong) or demand cede province (+5) during a peace talk. You'll get some trust asking for military access and fleet basing rights.

Alternatively, you can increase trust/relationships by rivaling their enemies or declare war against their rivals. Negative trusts also degrade over time, albeit slowly.
