Steam Controller for EU IV

I have a Steam Controller on preorder. I'm wondering how it would work for a game like EU IV. The main reason is if I want to play in a more comfortable location with a TV screen.

I don't know that there would be demand for Steam to build a control scheme out of the box. But just how daunting are the challenges in building one?

as for comfort, where's the problem with grabbing a plain ol' wooden board to place mouse and keyboard on in front of whatever comfy location you have in mind?

I doubt that you could manage everything with it. I was thinking of the same thing and there's just too much to click to be fun.
