o jogo não está funcionando

comprei o jogo nessa promoção e ao baixar o launcher não me permite abir o jogo.Quando aperto em jogar apenas aparace um sinal de exclamação em vermelho com a descrição´´erro ao iniciar o jogo´´

gostaria de saber se alguém poderia me ajudar com esse problema

The error "launching the game failed" can have many sources. To narrow it down somewhat, try to start the game from eu4.exe / eu4.app . If that works it is a launcher problem. If it doesn't work it is a game problem. In that case, please tell me how far in the startup process you get(what is the last thing that eu4 displays) and if you get any error message.

I tried to run the .exe application directly as administrator and the following message appeared

code execution cannot continue because VCRUNTIME140_1.ddl was not found. Reinstalling the program to fix the problem

I already reinstalled the game because I had tried it before and the message stayed

For this error it usually helps to (re-)install the microsoft visual c++ redistributables. You can get the 2019 version from this link[support.microsoft.com]. Current eu4 versions need the 64bit version(vc_redist.x64.exe).

It worked

but the launcher still doesn't open the game and I can only open it by going straight to eu4.exe
but what matters is that i can play

Not starting the game from the launcher might give problems with DLCs which don't work and might also prevent other steam stuff like cloud saves and achievements.

If starting from eu4.exe works now, that means that the remaining problem is related to the launcher. Usually it is one of the following problems:

• you configured the game to run as administrator, but the launcher doesn't run as administrator. In that case disable the option to run the game as administrator
  
• you have an antivirus or ransomware protection software that prevents the launcher from writing its files. In that case you have to add the launcher(and eu4) to the exception list of your software
  
  • If you have Windows Defender(also called Microsoft Defender), add the launcher and eu4 to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list(here[docs.microsoft.com] are instructions for that).
    
  • If you have bitdefender, add the launcher and eu4 to the list of ransomware exceptions and "give it access" to "protected files".
    
  • If you have avast, you have to add the launcher and eu4 to the allowed list in the ransomware shield
• the launcher installation is broken. That can be can often be fixed by reinstalling the launcher:
  
  • On Windows, first use the windows uninstall function to uninstall "Paradox Launcher v2"(if it is there). And then delete the launcher directories:
    
    • C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/
      
    • C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/
      
    • C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Roaming/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
      
    • Documents/paradox interactive/.cpatch/
      
    • every directory in Documents/paradox interactive/ that starts with launcher-v2
  • Afterwards you can start the game from steam again to reinstall the launcher.
