What Country has the best tradition/national ideas/ambitions?

Only vs AI france, with brandenburg having military ideas and france not. Otherwise they only have a 2.5% discipline/20% infantry combat ability difference.

I really like the feel of Dutch ideas. They are great for colonial games and show the importance of naval warfare. Austria has a nicely balaced idea set for diplomacy and warfare. France has an OP military idea set, as well as Brandenburg/Prussia in late game. Italy has balanced ideas as well, and Polish ideas are good. Overall, the major nations ingame with the most flavor have the best idea sets. There really is no "best" idea set. You are better off finding the idea set that correlates with your playstyle the most.

To sum some of this up, the best national ideas depend heavily on circumstance- Are you playing multiplayer or single player?
What are you goals? World Conquest? Dominant colonial power? Largest navy? Strongest army? Largest economy? Highest score?

I loved Timurids into Mughals, their ideas are really great imo, especially paired with admin idea group you can core all of asia pretty cheaply.

prussian/swedish/polish ideas are very good for military
dutch are good for money and dominating the seas
I also really like burgundy's ideas for having immortal armies(mercs)
