Add a 'Don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ colonize this region for 20ish years' Treaty in peace deals
It's hella annoying to go and burn a country down for colonizing in my land and get the one province, then two seconds later a new colony pops up. Wouldn't mind a like 15 warscore treaty that prevents the target from colonizing in that region

The "Concede Colonial Area" demand does this.
It forces the loser to transfer any provinces in that region to the war winner. Further, the loser cannot start any new colonies in that region for the remainder of that treaty.

Then it clearly doesnt work, because whenever I do it and theres still land available, they colonize

I'm pretty sure that the peace term works. But it doesn't affect colonists which are already on their way and it only lasts till the next war between the two countries. And it only applies to one colonial region. The country can still colonize other colonial regions. And it doesn't apply to subjects of the country. For example if you make Spain cede the provinces which they are currently colonizing the the Colonial Caribbean, their colonial nations can still send out new colonists in that region. But if you make the CN concede a colonial region, their overlord can't send colonists to that region.

Nah bro, i'm doing a sweden run, I beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of england for one canadian province (cede Canada) and a few months after they colonized again, and even more provinces after that. It wasn't their CN, it was england, and far too long after the war ending for it to be a colonist sent before the treaty
