No "Crush/Dismantle Revolution CB.'

I cant get the CB to crush/dismantle the revolution in my games, I've only ever seen it once in a previous game. Never again. My current play through, China is the target. I have a province that borders them (not my capitol, but o the border. Ive beaten them down to 99% surrender and held the revolutionary targets captial/location...still no option. What am i doing wrong?

Probably you had a truce. In order to gain the "Crush the Revolution" CB, you must either neighbour the nation that is Revolutionary or be EXTREMELY close to it (199 or less 'distance', however that is measured), be independent and not have a truce with them. If you declare war using any other CB, you won't get the peace deal option you want.

The inverse is not true when it comes to spreading the Revolution. For that, you must merely be a Revolutionary country (AI nations must either have their capital in Europe or be the Revolution Target) and you cannot attack one of your own subjects.

RCMidas: Yea, all of that stated above is true. I am not in a truce with them. It has expired. I have a province that is literally on their continent and bordered with them (Hong Kong). I am independent and have my own vassals. I dont have the option to declare war on them using the "Crush the Revolution" CB. Ive seen it in older play throughs, and have used it. I dont get it. Is there a timeframe that it would just, go away and not be an option anymore? This game is and always has been so glitchy...

Any mods active? The only time I've ever seen this not happen is when mods are in play. Especially when you say "China" is the Revolutionary Target. Unless it was whichever country was the Emperor of China that somehow experienced the Revolution Disaster, there is normally not a "China" country in the game.

Is OP looking for the CB, or the peace negotiation option to dismantle. Seems like the latter if I am reading it right.

If this is the case, you must have used the revolution CB to start the war, and peace out that nation (not allies). You cannot get this option if you declared war on the revolutionary target using any other CB.

I'm taking this angle because OP says "Ive beaten them down to 99% surrender and held the revolutionary targets captial/location...still no option". This suggest the war is already declared (and therefore you don't need a CB at this stage)

But maybe I misunderstand

I think your capital must be on the same continent too, right? But you won't get the CB if it isn't

RCMidas: Mods are in play. I will disable them to see if it changes anything. Ive always had China in games. In this case, Revolutionary China.

dbond1: In this play through, I dont, nor have i ever had the "Dismantle" CB. Ive read you can dismantle it in other threads by holding the capitol of the target, didnt work. So no, I didnt declare war on them using that CB in the first place based off of comments ive read. Doesnt change the fact that I dont have the CB in the first place.

Im about to jst take the revolutionary province and burn the whole place down to the ground and raze everything...look like another Piratical tall game in the near future.
