Tips for world conquest with ottomans
Hello,
I wanted to start a attempt to conquer the world with the ottomans. I played the ottomans several times before, so i decided to start the world conquest with them. Do you have any tips?
I need especially tips for the idea grups which are the best? Do i get exploration or expansion early? How do i deal witch countriel like russia or france? How can i conquer the colonial nations?
Hope you can give me some important tips :D

In my latest Ottomans WC attempt, my ruler dies in 1450 and I get 14 years of regency council!
Time to restart I guess...

defintely :D
your best try for wc as ottomans is to first convert to orthodox since converting allows the ottomans to obtain PUs. As vassals may not have any colonial nations (tried that as ottomans by vassalizing Netherlands, New Netherlands was automatically released), it is much better to have PUs, also junior partners in PUs can still have colonial nations which makes it so that exploration is not required for WC. Also i would recommend humanist over religious. Although it doesn't give you that nice CB, it does however give you -10% idea cost and saving monarch points is crucial for WC. Expansion ideas are also crucial as they give free 25% AE CB against Sub-Saharan, Indian, and Chinese tech nations. Although Ottomans don't really have a manpower problem, they can still use mercenaries (your manpower pool can still deplete). So administrative ideas are definitely good for you. Also with adm ideas, you get another -33% core creation cost totaling -66% core creation cost (-33% from 1st ottoman idea "millets") which is really nice. Influence ideas you don't really need unless you absolutely hate AE.

Not totally useless, some things are still valid, through I wonder if becoming Orthodox is smart now.
