1.37 Roadmap
The dev diary posted today is interesting. The standout feature to me is how wide-ranging it is. Nations all over the map are being tweaked, not just those in the New World. In some ways it resembles Emperor, but it doesn't have the unifying theme Emperor did.

I find myself wondering--just wondering--if this might possibly be a way to wrap things up for EU4. It has to happen one of these days. We'll see.

Seeing how all these latest DLCs have like only 2-3 people working on them, it's reasonable to believe EU5 has been in production for a while already.

I think we will be getting these "random countries" DLCs until EU5 is ready for release. It might be a year, it might be three, who knows.

Based on what they were saying "We hoped to be able to do this but ran out of time" in King of Kings, I suspect they carried on with everything they wanted and were regularly asked for (Hisn Kayfa, Trebizond, Theodoro, for example) whilst also adding in a few extra bits that they had planned in general - Mesoamericans and the Andeans, primarily, but also the odd extra tweak (Bohemia, Austria...again? For some reason. The Hapsburgs felt pretty complete to me for the most part).

Matter of fact, this seems to be some kind of 'doomed underdog' compilation of nations to focus on - and even most of the Europeans really ending up stagnating by comparison to the Netherlands, as the only listed nation that truly did well in this time-span.

Was thinking the same thing actually. It covers all the things the devs said they wanted to do stuff for before finishing EU4 in one package. A bit suspicious!

Yeah sounds like they're wrapping things up. Might even be the last DLC.

I expect EU5 announcement this year.

I think this will be it for EU4, and I really hope that they won't screw it up by creating some ahistorical nightmare or unbalanced, buggy mess like Leviathan was on release.
