UI bug?

Hello, Whenever a province is occupied by another country or rebels, it does not display that it has been occupied on the map. It does say it when you click on the province and look at the information.

That is odd. Havn't read someone else here yet on the forum with that problem.
Have you mods? Disable and remove them. Check your file integrity: rightclick EU4>properties>local files.

Do you have made system changes recently, and maybe updated drivers?
About updates: there are recently several bugs with flags, TI everywhere and no units shown. You run a AMD GPU by any chance? Because in those cases it had sometimes to do with new drivers, and roll back to an older version helepd with these issues. Maybe this also helps for your problem.

*update* turns out it is more than just that. The only map filters that work are the geography mode, trade routes, and politcal view. I do not know if this is because I mainly have political view on, but the rest do not do anything and just display the map as if it was on politcal view. Please help. I have no mods on.

I assume you started a new game to try aswell? Maybe your save is corrupted or if you use an older saved game your save doesn't work with your patch?

And what about the earlier mentioned stuff. Did the integrity check find anything? Have you gone to windows 10 for example?

Also if alll of the above doesn't work you can try to remove and do a fresh instal of the game.

windows 8.1 i tried your check thing and unfortunatly found nothing. True, i will try to uninstall and then reinstall
