How to stop protestantism?
I play as Poland and it's year 1530, my provinces are being converted to protestantism all the time and I can't convert them back so fast (I play on arcade mode mod). It's very annoying, is there any way to prevent spreading of protestantism? I know that I could conquer and convert the provinces that spread it,but it's impossible for me now.

unless you conquer all christian provinces with 10+ developement and convert them by ~1500 it will always start, but no worries you can leave the pope alone hes save from starting protestantism

You have to weather the storm and try to erase the centers of reformation. If its a nations capital then the easiest way to do it is force convert them since that converts their capital automatically.

Can't be done in single player. The reformation will always start at some point. However a multiplayer game where every one or almost every one starts as Orthodox, Coptic, Sunni, or Shia you can conquer all of Europe and/or force convert them. DDRJake had a multiplayer session with his subscribers once where that was their goal and they very much got it done.

But as far as single player goes you have to hope that the centers of reformations end up on their capitals. Forcing nations with centers of reformation on their capitals to convert will destroy them. That's what happened for me when I played as Austria a long time ago. There wasn't a single province in Europe that wasn't Catholic. Could hardly imagine a more successful HRE campaign than that, destroying France, and taking 90% of all the land the Ottomans controlled since eventually I passed the final reform a few years before the end of the game. Also I had forced Sweden and Lithuania into PUs (I also forced Burgundy, Poland, and Bohemia a long time before that; though I eventually lost Bohemia through an event but it didn't matter) so I literally controlled everything of continental Europe outside of Iberia (hell, I was hoping to get a dynastic member on the throne of Spain as well but unfortunately that didn't happen).

Long story short, the reformation in single player cannot be avoided unfortunately. But you can definitely get rid of them all.

As Austria, I bided my time, got rid of the first reformation center in Bavaria (it happened to be a neighboring province, so I annexed it and converted it), bided my time some more, then created an elaborate coalition war where one of the losers had another center. I annexed it (too large to force religion) and converted it, then my ally forced religion on the remaining one, converting that.

Now, despite once being probably the majority religion of the HRE, with tendrils in England, France, and Poland, the heart of Protestantism has been ripped out of its chest, and it is rapidly collapsing. I expect to utterly eradicate it by 1600.

Nothing else can be done. They will disappear eventually in 1600s.
