How to leave personal union?

Big Noob here-
I've been playing as Castile for the longest time, and I had royal marriges with a bunch of other nations. Suddenly, a scenerio pops up saying that either the current king dies and like a bunch of rebels pop up, or I have to kill my heir. Considering my nations was already recovering from warring with Portugal, I went with killing my heir thinking that I could produce another one.

The gods of EU4 were not smiling on me, as my king died and Aragon and France fought over my crown. France won, duh, and took Castile over as the junior in a personal state, limting whatever I do and dragging me into stupid wars. I tried declaring independence and warring with France but I kept getting roflstomped, thankfully I had a different save. How to declare Independence Canada style (A.K.A. Without bloodshed?)

You should be able to fight a war for independence. You should also be able to declare independence at any time, which I consider doing while France is fighting another war. Or, if you have more prestige than France when their monarch dies, you will become free.

Whenever I try fighting a war (Even with console commands, for gods sake!) I get rekt by France and her allies. How should I try decreasing their prestige while increasing my own? I cant war with rivals or stuff like that anymore.

Try to ally yourself with France's rivals it should do the trick. When France is dragged into a war with another country immediately declare independence.

I cant, as a junior member of a personal union I cant be buddy buddy with their 30000 enemies.

if you have the needed DLCcheat you can ask their ennemies to support your independance, then they will fight with you and be your allies when you declare war for independance.

Yes, check under your available diplomatic options. You don't have to 'ally' with them. Just get enough of France's rivals (and even total strangers) to support your independence. Once France gets into a big war and is getting smacked, declare independence. Remember several random nations will support you even if they are not friendly to you. Just try them all if you have to.
