It's broken for you. The vast majority of players run EU4 fine. Instead of screaming in rage, maybe you should post your system specs on the official boards, describe your problem, and ask for help.
Maybe instead of talking out of your ass, you should actually read my post where I described the actual problem. And I'm pretty sure my 3080 can handle this old ass game, it's not a system failure on my end.
In case you have reading difficulties, let me spell it out for you again: EU4 doesn't allow you to run it in a different resolution and FPS than your second monitor.
Yes, actually, it is. PC gaming is notorious because the nearly infinite combinations of hardware and software lead to software failures that are specific to that device. I've had zero problems with four or five rigs. Tens of thousands of regular players also have no issues.
You have an issue. Post the specifics of the issue and of your system on the official boards and ask for help. If you rage instead of taking the necessary steps to fix your problem that's on you.
Or the TLDR version: OK bye.
Yes I have, as a matter of fact. That's exactly what I do every time I troubleshoot technical issues, and as a programmer, I do it often. Didn't see anything close to what my issue was.
The version of EU4 that I have running is the newest version.
I'm a punk who runs EU4 with no issues. I'm fine with that.
You must have missed where I wrote the reason why I do not want to use borderless fullscreen: I do not want to use my native resolution and FPS for the game. Borderless uses this by default. That's the entire problem here.
What's even worse is that neither borderless or bordered appears to lock my mouse on the game monitor, so it is impossible to functionally scroll with the mouse when it will just move to the second monitor instead of staying in game.
PS: My PC is running Windows 10, so no, this has nothing to do with Windows 11 either.
Ok, and again, none of these results have anything to do with my issue. Again, the problem is that EU4 doesn't like you running it in a different resolution/FPS than your native settings, which are active on your second monitor. Again, this is critical to understand that I have two monitors because this wouldn't be an issue if I was just playing it on a single monitor, but I don't have 6100 hours of my life to waste playing this game hence why I multitask.
And before anybody tries to tell me that you can't play games at a different resolution than your second monitor: I do in fact do this all the time.
