You can always make copy of your savegame file. Once things go badly wrong, copy older savegame back and try again.

Editing savegame files to boost your country is surely too much already. In such case you could abandon ironman mode and play with console instead.

For some reason, a lot of people's ironman games tend to crash at random, exclusively when something bad happens...
To make sure it doesn't happen to you, avoid pressing alt and f4 at the same time in the game. Also, don't force eu4 to quit through task manager.

I've had my ironman Persia crash a few times. Also saved it before quitting and when I continued that save I was back at jan 1 instead of being somewhere in july.

But fairly certain you cant save edit the ironman savefiles because they are compressed, but you could look for a trainer I guess.

You could also just not play Iron man mode.

Search in google "Eu4 patcher". There is a .exe file that allows u to use console in ironman. U can also search "Eu4 table" for Cheat Engine table. I used to use this ♥♥♥♥ a lot and it really ruined my experience, now I use it only if there are some bugs and ♥♥♥♥ in my game

Okay, I got the basic ideas now, but how can I change my current iron man mode save to be a normal save, I will not change back to iron man mode for that save. Thanks all.

Yea , if your going to do anything that might be dicey , I would say the easist thing is to 1st do a game save , and if ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan just end game from task manager ,
Same if if you make a really bad mistake just make a note of the date at that moment , end the task and hope your last save was prior to the disaster ,
